About KCEDC Strategic Plan
KCEDC (Kewaunee County Economic Development Corporation) was formed because numerous community-minded leaders from both the public and private sectors recognized that a proactive approach to economic development must be taken.
In December 2004, a draft Business Plan was developed for KCEDC. In March 2005, an Executive Director was hired to implement the Business Plan and manage the day-to-day activities of KCEDC under the direction of the Board of Directors and with the assistance of KCEDC's Ex-officio members and KCEDC's Advisory Board. The Board of Directors, Ex-officio members and Advisory Board comprise the KCEDC Team.
KCEDC works pro-actively to retain, expand, develop and attract businesses that strengthen the economy of Kewaunee County. As the economy and markets transition, KCEDC helps business and local communities prepare and partner for adaptation and improvement.

The Internal Revenue Service granted KCEDC a 501(c) 3 status designation making it a tax-exempt, non-profit corporation. Therefore, KCEDC relies on investments made by both public and private sector entities.
